Knitting and stuff

It is warm and windy today. Walked down to the lake to do a little knitting. Mr. T. is setting up one of the gazebo's down by the lake. The gazebo is nestled among the little pine trees, such a clean beautiful fragrance. We will be spending more time down there and enjoy what is left of summer. The leaves on the maple trees are turning red. I think that we will have an early winter this year. Not much else happening today.  Until next time.....

Finishing off projects

I finished a pair of socks over the weekend. This is the first pair for fall.  The pattern is Uptown Boot Socks, they will go nicely with a pair of brown cords. My goal is to knit one pair of socks a month.

I am still working on the Malt baby blanket. The blanket is mainly stockinette stitch with a seed stitch border. I have completed 18 inches of the blanket  only 18 inches for it to be finished. I am also finishing up a Woodland Shawl that I started last September! eek! That is a long time for me to have an unfinished project. Two more pattern repeats for the shawl and the ending section.  That will be the end of my UFO'S (unfinished objects).

I am getting my hair cut on Friday afternoon. This is the length that I usually get tired of my hair. Until tomorrow.....

Hello Again

Hello again!
It has been several days since my last post. I have not been feeling well. Today however is a good day. The sun is finally shining after a couple days of rain.
On the homefront, Mr. T. cut down the broken tree this past weekend. It is huge. There will be at least two  cords of usable firewood for next winter.  I was watching the branch clearing and the cutting from the solarium, no mosquitos here. This appeared when Mr. T. sliced through the fallen trunk of the tree.  I saw the image and grabbed my camera. I went down to where Mr.T. was cutting and took pictures of the exposed trunk. The spirit of the tree is a bear. Mr. T. cut a slice and we will make a small table from it.  It should be an interesting project once the wood dries. I spoke too soon about the sun shining. Dark clouds have rolled in and it looks like more rain. The eagle comes by everyday and sits on  a tree facing the lake. I am in awe of the eagle's size. The flap of his wings can be heard before he is in sight and when he lands on a tree a loud thump can be heard. It has started to rain so I had better close the windows. Until next time.
